We specialize in PT before and after surgery like knee and hip replacements, rotator cuff repair, ACL repair, neck and back surgery. Pre-operative therapy can make surgery easier for your doctor and reduces the need for lengthy post- operative care.
We can help resolve muscle and joint sprains, tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, bursitis, sciatica, SI joint dysfunction, neck pain and back pain.
I'll teach you how these problems take hold, and how a few simple posture and stretching exercises at home and work can keep smaller problems from becoming surgical ones.
MVPT will soon be offering vestibular rehab to address vertigo, dizziness, BPPV, balance problems and gait unsteadiness.
We see patients at least 30 minutes apart.
Everybody wears a mask. And we'll take your temperature.
We keep distant when possible and use barriers like towels and gloves.
We follow the science and recommend Covid vaccination.
All human staff have received the Moderna Covid vaccine sequence.
All dog staff and guests are current with their canine vaccinations.
Dogs who have a "day pack" behave just like you do at work. They have "besties" and a boss. It lets them develop a social structure that they enjoy. Dogs here have 3000sqft of indoor and outdoor supervised play. A tired dog is a happy dog. Especially at the end of your busy work day. $25 per day.
We also offer a morning Dog Shuttle.
Boarding can be stressful for everyone...unless you leave them with friends. And that's the setting we strive for. Boarding here looks more like your home than a kennel. Sleeping arrangements are tailored to your dog's habits, including a crate if needed. Rules and playtime you have at home are followed here as well. Plus plenty of hugs and snacks. Your dog will be pleasantly tired at the end of your vacation. $40 per day.
David has been an orthopedic Physical Therapist for 24 years in Colorado and Idaho. He is certified in Manual Therapy, meaning treatments focus on calming tired or painful body parts with soft tissue mobilization and massage, aligning joints with non-aggressive techniques and improving muscle "awakeness" and flexibility. Then you'll learn some simple exercises to do at home to maintain your progress. As a former college Anatomy & Physiology instructor, David will teach you about how your body heals...and falls apart. David doesn't train his patients for the Olympics. But simple instruction in posture, core stability and flexibility goes a long way to keeping home and work activities painless.
Canine Fun Organizer Roxy is old enough to train the rules and young enough to enjoy all types of play. And as a product of doggie daycare, she's experienced many sizes, breeds and ages of dogs. She loves them all.
Dogs spread love, not Covid.
I have had the pleasure of working with David in preparation for an upcoming cervical disc arthroplasty. When I first arrived, I quickly understood that David is a professional with a passion for helping people realize their potential. He took a thorough history, asked me what my goals were, and developed a customized plan that aligned with my doctor's request and my current challenges and pain level.
Unlike other physical therapy centers I've used, David was my only therapist throughout treatment, which allowed us to build a relationship for him to further assess my progress and needs. He helped modify exercises that caused pain or were not effective.
I appreciate that David listens to his clients and helps them understand the purpose of each of the exercises he assigns.
David is witty, has a toolbox full of ideas and is passionate about each of his clients. I feel like my neck and shoulder alignment have improved, my posture is better and m headaches have decreased.
I would absolutely recommend David as your physical therapist. Plus he's got the most gorgeous therapy dog ever!........KS
David not only helped repair my broken back, but also my attitude towards Physical Therapy. His explanations of why the exercises work encourages me to do my "homework." When I make the exercises a priority in my day, it definitely makes a positive difference. David and Roxy made a horrible injury a lot less scary......CD
I am so glad my doctor referred me to Mountain View Physical Therapy. What David has done for my back has been a godsend. After my back surgery I still had constant lower back pain until I got help from David. I walk straight upright now and my pain is gone. I'm on the right track because of David and Roxy....RD
I can't say enough about David working with me when I injured my shoulder. I appreciated his one-on-one, hands on approach. He explained what we were doing every step of the way, and with a great sense of humor that made me want to schedule Physical Therapy....BJ
We first met David when he came to our Farm to purchase one of our Bernese Mountain Dog Puppies. Since that time we have become good friends. We can say with all confidence that David loves dogs! We know, because we love dogs completely, and it takes one to know one! Being involved with the Bernese Breed for the last 25 years we have met a lot of people that evolve around the canine. David is one of those Special People who is very tender, caring and kind hearted towards humans and canines. He has a Big Heart full of Love and gives all he has each and every day to make the world a better place! .....TK
